African state leaders have learned from the issues experienced in various countries around the world in minimising the spread of COVID-19 and in response have implemented measures to enforce social distancing and restrict travel in order flatten the curve of the virus on the African continent.

Countries around the world have taken drastic measures, including border closures, in an attempt to curb COVID-19.

The idea of living in a foreign country sounds quite adventurous for many people, but in a time of isolation it can become frustrating and near impossible to access certain essential services.

President Nyusi has just addressed the nation, announcing new coronavirus prevention measures due to take effect as from Monday, March 23,  for the next 30 days. Mozambique will subject all travellers , Mozambicans or foreigners, entering the country to a mandatory 14-day home quarantine.

Due to various health and travel restrictions that are implemented not only in South Africa and the United Arab Emirate but also worldwide, the South African Embassy is, with immediate effect implementing the undermentioned minimum precautionary measures to avoid spreading the COVID-19 / Corina Virus.
